Hello Susie!

My name is Stacie. Great question! So happy that you have someone in mind.
We typically have one speaker for the first half of the meeting and then
use the second half for the support group where parents can come with
specific questions or just to listen. Previously, we talked about parental
rights, non-24 sleep disorder, giving medication to sick kids, and school
safety. This month, we will be having a speaker from the Blind Parents
Group from the national level. She is happy to answer any questions.
Starting in September, there will be a 6-part class series called Triple P
which stands for Positives Parenting Program. We will be having a certified
facilitator come out and talk about dealing with aggression, dealing with
disobedience, working on self-esteem, etc. You actually beat me to the
punch on that though, lol. I was planning to put out the Triple P program
classes and the details after our meeting on Saturday.
I really hope your friend can come and listen in and even ask or answer
questions. I hope you can come as well! You are a grandmother and a parent
and we would love your experience! :)
