[blParent] BlParent Digest, Vol 243, Issue 3

There are some legal ramifications that the inventors of this product are
not thinking about at all. For example, suppose that there is a
technological malfunction with a product, causing the product to measure
out the incorrect dosage. Suppose that the medication is one that can cause
serious bodily injury or death if the child receives the incorrect dose,
and The blind parent administers the dose, with nowhere or no way to verify
the accuracy of knowing that the dose is incorrect. Not only could this
potentially cause death or serious injury to the child, but serious
criminal and CPS repercussions on the part of the blind parent. With the
fact that we are already heavily scrutinized as it is by agencies like CPS,
we don't need a product like this that is going to potentially put us in a
legal entanglement.
