I'm in the middle of using the same book's method on our daughter. I read it off of Bookshare, which has the more recent edition. My sighted wife had a hard copy of the older edition, and it's not as good. The method is working really well for us too. It got our daughter to start telling us when she had to go very quickly, which is obviously useful for blind parents. It also gets you to focus on learning the patterns of when they go and taking them to go at those times, which helps avoid a lot of accidents as well.

My son is only one years old, so I don’t have experience potty training a boy. However, I potty trained my daughter very successfully by using the method from the book. “Oh Crap Potty Traibing!”
The book is available on bard and is probably also on Audible. The method is not for everyone, but it worked well for us. It involves having your child not wear any diapers or underwear for the first three days. This actually works well for blind parents because you can hear the liquid hitting the floor if you know what I mean lol This gives you enough time to know what’s happening and quickly get them to the potty. I’m not going to lie, the first week was absolutely stressful. However, my daughter was basically fully potty trained within two weeks. That is just what worked for me. I’m sure others have lots of other helpful suggestions. Good luck!
