Hi Everyone,

I recently received the following email, and was asked to forward it
to other students who may share an interest in this topic, and to
anyone who works with students. If you are interested in what this
message discusses let me know, and if you know anyone who may benifit
from such a discussion, please foward it along.

Thank you.
Aziza

"Dear Students,
I am writing to you as a fellow California college student who is blind.
As you are probably well aware, the state of California has
suffered a steep economic downturn. As you have probably have seen
on the news and on your respective campuses; people have ben talking,
protesting and in general, making the noise that any movement for
change needs to make.
I’ve noticed, however, that people within the blindness community
have not been as collectively vocal.
So, I want to ask you all, to consider discussing the matter. The
Idea?- The idea would be to congregate via conference call; to
collectively call fourth or stories, fears, concerns, and to
potentially, hopefully drive from it an inescapable and undeniably
needed reason and desire to act, to let it be known that we need nnot
be the unseen blind; but the blind that see the fact that these
budget cuts effect us, our lives, and believe it or not, our future.
So, my question is: Are you interested in having this conversation?
If so, the second question is: are you willing to spread the word
amongst your fellow blind students that a conference call; a forum
will take place?
 We often find that  the neggitive easily spreads like wild fire;
especially amongst the blind community. But what of the positive or
of the urgent? Does it get equil attention? I hope, that thanks to
you, it does."
