These guys teach the use of mainstream applications with screen reading
software. They've got a lot of experience, and I highly recommend them.

Subject: NEW! MS Office Training Options from Rigel!

Please share the following announcement with others who may be interested.

        Hello everyone,
It's time to start thinking about the Fall instructional offerings, and we
have developed
some new options because we know that everyone has different goals and skill
levels.
Therefore, Rigel Technology now has three separate options for our on-line
Microsoft Office training.
They are as follows:
1.
Microsoft Office Specialist Certification. This is our good old flagship
course
to prepare students to take the Microsoft Office 2007 Specialist Test. We
follow
a Microsoft approved curriculum, and focus on using the Office Suite with
various
screen reading and magnification applications. This course has a set
schedule of
two 2-hour classes per week and runs for 12 weeks. Students are tested at
various
stages in the training and also get a final exam based on the content and
structure
of the actual Microsoft Office Specialist certification test. The course
covers Microsoft
Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint. Students will receive a
certificate of
Completion.
2.
Microsoft Office Light. Not all students will be pursuing actual
certification,
and are just interested in gaining new skills to enhance job performance, or
to have
a better chance to get a job. Perhaps you are self-employed and want a
better understanding
of what Microsoft Office can do for you. This course has been designed for
you.
The Office Light course is based on a Microsoft approved curriculum, but it
is not
the entire curriculum. Students will receive six 2-hour classes. The first
2 sessions
will be about Microsoft Word, the following two sessions will cover Excel,
the fifth
session will cover Outlook, and the last session will take up using
PowerPoint.
One additional session will be given as a final exam. Students will receive
a Certificate
of Completion.
3.
Microsoft Office Expert Certification Class. This course runs for six
2-hour sessions.
Students must have completed the Rigel Technology Microsoft Office
Specialist Certification
course for Office 2007. Students will choose one of two Expert paths:
Microsoft
Word, or Microsoft Excel. This course is designed to prepare students for
the Microsoft
Office Expert Certification exam. After the 12 hours of instructional time,
students
will be given a test based on the Microsoft Office Expert exam.
All Office Specialist and Office Expert Certification Students will receive
a book
and CD of the curriculum. Office Specialist and Expert courses begin
September 8,
2009. Tuition must be pre-paid by check, credit card, or government agency
authorization.
Microsoft Office Light classes are individually focused and students may
begin at
a time and date convenient to them. Tuition may be paid for all sessions at
once,
or a student may opt to pay per session if paying by check or credit card.
Payments
from government agencies must be for all sessions.
For more information, or to register for a course, call
888-723-5011, ext. 1.
We look forward to your participation.
Best regards,
Connie Leblond
