Presents

TECH TALK

New advances in technology are changing the lives of many people who are
blind or low-vision. Come and be part of a group that will meet every month
to discuss and help you better understand many types of Assistive Technology
that can help you to Be more independent and productive. Whether you are new
to technology or know your way around, participating in "Tech Talk" is a
great way to meet others like you who want to learn more about or enjoy
talking tech.

This month our guest speaker will be Cara Quinn from Looktel. Most of you
are probably familiar with Looktel's Money Reader for IOS but they also have
several other helpful apps including a soon to be released app that will
offer some unique and interesting capabilities. She will demonstrate and
talk about all of Looktel's apps as well as address some points about
creating accessible apps on iOS in a way most designers may not always think
about. Even if you're not an app developer, this information could be
helpful when contacting an app developer in hopes of getting them to make
their apps more accessible.
