[Cabs-talk] you can't beat it, CABS fun at convention!

Hello all,

                Excitement builds as we anticipate another fun filled and
action packed NFBC state convention, and as always, the California
Association of Blind Students will be a big part of the fun. 

                First, our business meeting will be held on Friday, October
30 from 5:30 to 8 PM, with registration starting at 5 o'clock. As Miso
mentioned in a previous post, the theme will be empowerment, the title of
the agenda, Feeling the Power! We will hear from our National rep Pam Allen,
as well as President Willows. We will also hear from our NABS rep Garret
Mooney, who served as president of the Arizona Association of Blind Students
and is currently a NABS board member. 

                Prior to the CABS meeting, starting at around 4 or so, we
will have a pizza social. It will be in one of the sleeping rooms, and the
location will be announced at the morning meetings. Come join us, eat some
pie, see old friends and make new ones. 

                Since we have been successful with a couple of our donation
requests, I can tell you that we will be selling high quality dark chocolate
bars, either Trader Joes or Whole Foods. They will be varying sizes, and
will sell for varying amounts, and since I have not actually held one yet,
much less sampled one for quality control purposes, I cannot as yet give you
exact prices. I can tell you that they are very similar to what
Massachusetts was selling at national, so if you liked that, you'll like
this. 

                So, that is a rundown of all the excitement CABS has planned
for you in Newark this year. If you have any questions, as always feel free
