Hi All!

The next season of our Internship Program at BISM has open applications until Nov 1. If you could spread the word to any contacts who would be interested, we would really appreciate it. I have pasted our announcement below. Feel free to respond with any questions you may have. 

BISM’s Internship Program (DEADLINE FOR SPRING: NOV 1, 2024)

The BISM Internship Program offers an opportunity to promote real-world experience and mentoring in a supportive environment. In-person internships are available for fall, spring, and summer for approximately 3 to 4 months. 

Interns will have an opportunity to explore a variety of fields, some of which might include: management, teaching, human resources, and communications, among others. This opportunity is available for prospective and current college students, recent graduates, and adults undergoing career exploration. BISM will work with interns to offer a customizable work experience centered around the intern's areas of interest. This is a paid internship opportunity with housing options available. 
We are looking for applicants who:

1.	Are comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel, or willing to learn
2.	Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
3.	Take initiative appropriately and apply problem-solving skills
4.	Are prompt and professional
5.	Are able to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
6.	Feel comfortable working both independently and as a team member
7.	Are passionate about changing what it means to be blind
8.	Exhibit a positive attitude
9.	Are self-driven, eager to learn, and want to be challenged
