Greetings students!
You've probably already heard the news, but just in case, the NFB of
California has opened up its state scholarship for all students to apply.
With such an opportunity opened up to students, we of course want you to go
in with a fighting chance.
To that end, we're here to help. Join the California Association of Blind
Students's interactive workshop to discuss all things scholarships. Come in
with your questions, but most important of all, come in with your story.
Everyone has a story, and every story is unique. Let's talk about the
growth and the success you have, and help put that story on paper for the
scholarship panelists to sit back in awe.
This workshop is all about you, the perspective candidate. Rather than
fancy slidedecks and whiteboards, think relaxed conversation. That
conversation will unfold like so:
- Challenges faced during scholarships and how to overcome them.
- What scholarships are all about.
- Storytelling: Identifying your journey.
- The writing process.
Plenty of room for questions, discussion, and a bit of reflection. Like
having a study session, only more engaging, and less books. More of your
voice, less of tutoring.
The workshop kicks off at 3:00 PM pacific standard time this Saturday,
January 24, 2026. Join anywhere in the world by clicking the Zoom link:

We look forward to seeing you real soon!
