                        I am pleased to share with you the latest news about our new, downloadable audio service, AudioAccess.  In celebration of our 60th year of working to make textbooks accessible to every student, with the generous support of our donors, and as a happy by-product of our successful federal FY2008 appropriations earmark, RFB&D is offering a free year of our new downloadable audiobook service, AudioAccess, to every student in the United States eligible to use our service.
                         
                        Beginning on 26 January 2009, through 25 January 2010, any qualified student in the U.S. can sign up for a year of unlimited access through AudioAccess to our entire collection, completely free.  This promotion is separate from any existing institutional membership and is an offer made directly to those individual students who are blind, visually impaired or have a learning disability.   If you know any individual eligible students who could benefit from our services or you would like additional information please feel free to call me.

                        Now Accepting Applications for the 5th Annual "Bud" Y. King Awards  
                          
                         YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH RFB&D COULD BE WORTH $1,000!
                        Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, Rocky Mountain Unit, (RFB&D) is pleased to announce we are accepting applications and essays for our 5th annual 'Bud' Y. King Awards. Three middle school and/or high school and three college and/or university winners will each receive educational awards up to $1,000.  Event will be May 16, 2009. You must be present to receive your award.

                        We are here to serve you!  We are scheduling training sessions for educators.  Training sessions can be tailored to your needs, from basic training on how to use your RFB&D membership to teaching listening skills in the classroom.  

                        Sign up for a Teacher Training or an Initial Membership Orientation by February 20th, (presentation needs to be conducted by March 30th) and we will enter you in a drawing for a FREE Institutional Membership and a FREE MP3 Player.
