Diane,

I'm glad you are doing ok now. I can imagine how scary that can be. My mom and garandma are both diabetic, type 2. Just take care of yourself and get better.
Wishing you well,
Monika

> Well, it happened.
> The fire engines, paramedics and police all came to 1455 44th Avenue Place last night.
> My sugars got so low, that I was unconscious.
> All I remember is it was like I was on a bad "trip" although I have never used acid or LSD, I bet this is just like it. I kept fighting trying to overcome what was happening to me.
> I could see the AEROSMITH poster on my wall, and see the sheets on my bed, but I just wasn't able to get on top of it. I didn't know what was happening.
> Next thing I knew the paramedics were saying "Diane, we are going to ask you some really silly questions now" and I saw several paramedics around my bed. They told me they had disconnected my pump and put glucose by iv to get me going again. I guess my sugars were 31.
> So after a night of checking my sugars every 2 hours along with my Mom by my side, I feel pretty drained today.
> Just waiting for the neighbors to say "What happened?" as we live on a small cul-de-sac.
> Anyway, was training to get started on the new Animas pump this morning, but that will be put on hold for a little while.
> It scared the poop out of me, so just be real careful when counting your carbs and taking your insulin! If you start to feel low, grab the juice!
> It's easy to mess up.
> Love all of you!
