Dear NFB of Colorado Colleagues,

Please read the below message from our National office regarding the
pedestrian safety Enhancement act of 2009. At this time, none of our U.S.
Senators nor any of our congressional representatives are cosponsoring the
bills in their respective houses. Please take time out of your day to at
least call your two senators and your congressional representative. If you
can take more time, please also call the remainder of our Colorado
Congressional delegation.  Thanks, Chris Foster

Subject: Legislative Alert - Update on the Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act
of 2009

Fellow Federationists:

            I want to update you on the latest information regarding the
Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act of 2009 (H.R. 734 and S. 841) in both the
House of Representatives, and the Senate. H.R. 734 continues to gain
support with 123 members of the House listed as cosponsors. S. 841 now has
four cosponsors in the Senate.

            I have listed all cosponsors below by state, so you will know
how your state is doing in building support for this important legislation.
I am asking for your hard work to increase these numbers before we have our
National Convention in July.

            Please make phone calls to your senators and representatives and
urge them to cosponsor this important legislation for all pedestrians.

*

	Senators can be added to S. 841 by contacting Doug Frost in Senator
Kerry's office, and;
*

	Representatives can be added to H.R. 734 by contacting either Emily
Khoury in Congressman Towns's office, or James Thomas in Congressman
Stearns's office.

             You may be connected to your members of Congress by calling the
Capitol switchboard at (202) 225-3121.

            Your calls will make a difference in building support for this
legislation, and I know that you will work diligently to increase our
cosponsor numbers.

            Please contact me with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Jesse M. Hartle
