Hello one and all!

Here are the minutes from our last Fundraising and Board Meetings
which were held Monday, May 10th. I have pasted them below, as well as
in a separate document. If you attended the meeting, then gold stars
for you! If not, then earn your stars by joining us for our next
meeting!

Fundraising committee:
Meeting came to order at 6:30pm.

Notes:
• Mickey Mouse earrings are now on sale! They are $10 a pair. Contact

• We will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets for $1 a piece until state
convention. As of right now, we will be printing 500 tickets.
• According to Scott, CABS has permission to sell raffle tickets. We
will use the state’s raffling license.
• Each committee member (and those interested) will receive about 100
tickets to sell on their own. After selling the tickets, the ticket
halves and money, in the form of a check/money order, will be sent to
Melissa. Checks and money orders must be made out to CABS!!!!
• The winner of the 50/50 raffle will be announced at state convention
in October.
• Maryann will look into local Office Max in order to get the 50/50
tickets professionally printed at a cheaper rate.  Melissa will write
a “blurb” about CABS and the fundraiser which will be printed on the
tickets.

Meeting adjourned at 6:59pm.

CABS Board Meeting:
Meeting came to order at 7:08pm.

Notes:
• Minutes from the last meeting were adopted.
• Treasury report was not available.
• State convention will be held October 28th-31st in Boulder.
• Start brainstorming about discussion topics/ideas for the CABS
seminar for the state convention.
• There will be NO CABS seminar at the Center in May!
• Beth and Nehemiah will speak with Brent regarding making the chapter
meeting in July mandatory for the students in the high school program
in order for CABS to hold a seminar.
• Possible dates for the July seminar are:
Friday the 16th
Saturday the 17th
Friday the 23rd
Saturday the 24th
• We will be having a pizza party or dance afterwards.
• The CSDB trip will be held this Thursday, May 13th. RSVP to Melissa
by tomorrow morning!
• The van will be leaving Market Street Station between 2:30 and
4:00pm. Please bring money, if possible, to contribute towards
transportation costs.
• Dinner will be at Old Chicago on the way back to Denver.
• Activities include:
Ice breakers
Student discussions about:  what blindness means to them, what college
students do in the summer, etc.
