[Cabs] Something for Discussion?

Indeed a good point.
I would point out that a sighted person need only be taught to look both ways before crossing a street to be sure that the street is clear of traffic or to watch for the light to turn green and still look both ways.
the responsibility of crossing a street safely is shared one between both pedestrians and motorists. If either party is negligent, the results can be dangerous.
Does this mean that people ought not leave their homes? Not in the slightest.
We all simply need to be careful when we travel, vision or no.
and now, our thoughts are hopefully with the young lady who’s injured. I know mine are.

Last I was aware, that's what both the CCB & LCB taught their students (and probably Blind, Inc, too, though I have no personal experience there). But that being said, hey, these things can still happen when we're doing everything right. Because whether you're a pedestrian or another driver, you're never sure that other driver is doing everything right, too. I'll venture to say that drivers don't do all the things they should be doing, correctly, as often as CCB & LCB graduates do, correctly, when traveling.
