[Cacommunity-service] Blind Advisory Committee Recruitment

Laura,

This is a volunteer position. The Blind Advisory Committee meets four
times a year, usually from around 9 AM to 4 PM. As an example, in 2015,
BAC is scheduled to meet in February, May, July, and November. DOR pays
for transportation (flights, train, etc.) for BAC members to one or two
meetings a year. For the other two meetings, members from Sacramento and
the Bay Area often attend in person, while members from southern
California (and sometimes the Bay Area) attend via teleconference. BAC
is a great opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of the
Department of Rehabilitation, to network with the movers and shakers,
and to make your voice heard. Hope this is helpful.
