Dr. Smith and Derek:

 

I wanted to just drop you both a note to let you know that I have been in
contact with the Governor's office about the rest areas and they are aware
of the potential impact.  They have verbally indicated that they do not want
to harm these vendors and are exploring all options.  I don't have a lot of
news, but I wanted to at least let you know we are aware of it and I will
keep you updated.
