Subject: News About an Amazing Self-Defense Seminar for the Vision Impaired!
Importance: High

Greetings folks, and I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

If you are receiving this message, it's because you either work with persons
who are vision impaired within the Cleveland area, you are vision impaired
yourself, or you are simply well connected within the community. It's been
quite a long time since I've organized a self-defense seminar geared for
persons who are blind/vision impaired, and I'm so excited to tell you about
what we have planned, for this will by far be the best self-defense
experience that a person who is blind could ever possibly attend.

For those of you who know me well, you know that I've trained in a Martial
Art, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, for a fair number of years now. My training has
taken many twists and turns since the last seminar that I organized, and my
passion for understanding technique and attention to detail for this
intricate, yet doable activity for persons who are blind has only increased.

Last year, thanks to the wonders of Facebook, I made friends with a Jiu
Jitsu practitioner who lives in Rio De janeiro Brazil. His name is Professor
Felipe Costa. Not only is Professor Costa a multi-time world Jiu Jitsu
champion, but he has successfully launched a full-fledged Jiu Jitsu program
for over 30 students at the Rio De janeiro School for the Blind, and the
results have been amazing. Some of my friends and I have arranged for
Professor Costa to come visit us and train with us in June, and I thought it
would be a fantastic opportunity to take advantage of his knowledge and
expertise, and organize a special self-defense workshop geared specifically
for the vision impaired participant who knows little to nothing about
self-defense or anything relating to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. You don't need to
be a super athlete to attend, for the workshop will be designed to meet a
variety of skill levels. Most importantly, there may be something that you
learn in this seminar that could possibly save your life one day. We live in
an incredibly violent society, and there are those in our society who make
no qualms about targeting those of us who may have a perceived physical
impairment. Many of you on this distribution list are vision impaired women
which possibly poses additional concerns for your safety and well-being.
It's my hope that as many of you who can attend will attend, and I'm also
hopeful that the service providers on this distribution list will forward
the details about this seminar.

The seminar will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, and will
conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m. It will be hosted by my friends at
<http://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=116294168398814> Chu To Bu West Judo,
Jujitsu & MMA, 1384 Lear Industrial Parkway, Avon, OH 44011-1525. Don't let
the location scare you off. We'll be offering free transportation to anyone
who attends and requests it from the Superior and West Roadway RTA Bus Stop
at 9:30 a.m. and will be dropping folks off after the seminar. The cost of
the seminar is $40, about half the price that those of us who train Jiu
Jitsu regularly will be paying to train with Professor Costa later that day.
Professor Costa will be covering all self-defense techniques from situations
that can occur on the feet to techniques to keep you safe while stopping an
assault should you get taken to the ground. Safety and fun are our two
priorities, and we will be adequately staffed to provide assistance to
Professor Costa. This means that a number of us who are quite experienced
will be working with one or two of you in small groups throughout the entire
seminar. The end result is that participants will have a fun time, get their
heart rate up, learn some invaluable self-defense techniques, and maybe be
introduced to something that they wish to continue learning.

If you or your consumers wish to learn more about this seminar, or wish to
reserve your space, please contact me using the contact details below. I'm
looking forward to connecting with as many of you as possible on June 16 to
hang out and to share with you a real passion of mine with one of the best
in the world as our instructor. Thank you for taking the time to read this
message. Please forward it to whomever you wish, and please feel free to
contact me with questions. Have a fantastic week!

Warmest Regards,
