Below you will find a link that SSA has on their Web, listing work
encentives that can be used  in reducing the amount of wages that is counted
when work is involved.  There are such things as, state, local and federal
taxes, uniforms, expenses related to guide dogs.

 

The following chart provides guidance on types of expenses that are
deductible as BWE, IRWE, or both, and the amount deductible.

These encentives are for those who are receiving SSI and SSD.

 

SSI uses the BWE and SSD uses the IRE.
