Earlier this month Louis Braille's birthday was celebrated. We continue to
do this because of the happiness we feel toward him for giving us the
Braille system for reading and writing. We, as blind people, want others to
know that it is respectable to read Braille. So, after many years of hosting
a Christmas party for the high school students at OSSB we have changed our
focus. It is much less stressful to schedule with them to have a birthday
party than it ever was to have a Christmas party in December. It is a lot of
fun! I am hoping that some of our members will join the planning committee
on Thursday, January 28, 2016, 6:00 p.m. for pizza, soda, cookies, and a fun
time celebrating. This is not a membership drive although if we have
students that want to join they would be warmly welcomed. Please reply to
the list by noon on Thursday if you are going to attend so that we will have
enough pizza ordered for everyone. We will be ordering pizza from Dominos.
