Colleagues:
I had planned on attending the meeting this week but the cold weather looks
pretty daunting especially at that early time in the morning as I usually
have to get a bus up their at about 5 in the morning!
So I will not be their but plan on attending the meeting in February
depending on the weather then.
I am interested in serving on the fund raising Committee President Lutz so
let me know how I can help?
I would chair one of these Committees but I feel that because I live so far
from the Columbus area itself that it would be better to have someone closer
to lead the effort and just provide support where and when I can!
I stand ready though, to be of assistance to our new President and Board so
let me know how I can help please?
I will be going to the Washington seminar and will be prepared too report on
the event if necessary!

Subject: [Capchapohio] Our meeting
Hello,
I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! Now
that the holidays are sadly over, we can get back to business with the NFB
Capital Chapter. Our meeting is this Saturday January 6 at 10:00 am at the
Maynard Ave. United Methodist Church, 2350 Indianola Ave. We have a very
packed agenda, so I hope that all of you can make it.
During the meeting, I will be putting together a couple of committees to get
some things done, so please think about the following, and let me know if
you are interested in serving on any of these, or would like to chair one.
Fundraising Committee- This one should be pretty self explainatory. Our
chapter needs funds, and we need a motivated group to explore ideas for
fundraising to bring back to the group. This group will also monitor the
success of any ideas that we take on, and report on the progress.
Membership Committee- In addition to funds, we can always use new members.
This group will be the contact point for potential new members, and come up
with ideas for recruiting.
Events Committee- This group will come up with and implement chapter events
for promoting the chapter and the organization to others and for fellowship
among our group.
Each committee chair will need to be prepared to work with their group and
make a report at each meeting. I hope that many of you will be motivated to
serve.
In addition to the ones mentioned, I am open to ideas for additional groups
that may be of assistance to our chapter.
In addition to regular business, we will be talking about Project Mainstream
and some of the problems that were discussed at our last meeting. Please
come prepared with any documentation of concerns that you may have
experienced with the service, and ideas that we can use to confront the
problem.
I am looking forward to seeing each of you on Saturday morning. Please
dress warmly because it is due to be very cold, and sometimes the heating in
our room isn't very good.
Keep warm!
Annette
