Discussion:

No discussion on the minutes.

Motions:

Shelby made a motion to Accept the minutes as they were circulated.

Larry second the motion.

Minutes passed by everyone.



Treasurer Report:

Current Balance: $1,040.86

Discussion:

Jordy & Annette met on March 15th, and were successful in getting the
banking information situated.

Jordy is still trying to entangle the wireless aspect of the PayPal account
for the chapter.

Members can now start mailing their dues, if they would like. Once again,
the address to mail checks:

Motion:

Larry made a motion to Accept the treasury report as presented.

Marieka second the motion.

Treasury report passed by everyone.



Old Business: In-Person Chapter Meetings

Jordy shares that some of the potential meeting places will cost money,
such as using a meeting room at OSSB. He also states that using a public
library is an option, but will require advance notice for scheduling.

Mary Lynn suggested using the CRC location as a meeting place.

All members discussed temporarily changing the meeting time due to conflict
of scheduling for most of the board. Pending the affiliate president’s
approval, we will temporarily be meeting the first Saturday in May and June
at 11AM. The May meeting will continue to be held virtually.



Old Business: Fundraisers

Discussion:

Maggie provided more information about the wine tasting fundraiser.

Mary Lynn suggested have the wine tasting now, and again in the fall if it
is successful.

Annette will contact the board to inquire about necessary approval in
hosting a fundraiser that promotes the sale of alcohol. She also encouraged
all chapter members researching all potential fundraising ideas.

Motion:

Jordy made a motion that ending approval by the affiliate board, we would
proceed and plan a wine fundraiser, prior to national convention.

Larry second the motion.

Wine tasting fundraiser has been passed by everyone.



Old Business: Legislative

With Eric Duffy being present, he was able to provide firsthand information
and updates on all four of our legislative efforts. He shared that the
in-person hearing for the HB448 bill was recently held on Tuesday, April 5th
& Wednesday, April 6th. He was appreciative of the members that were able
to attend in-person and give their personal testimonies.

Eric also states that SB202 has had multiple hearings, and the Ability
Center in Toledo, Ohio has also jumped on board. Eric goes even further to
share that the Affordable Accessibility Act is one that we are working on
with congress.



New Business: National & Ohio State Affiliate Information

Annette provided additional information for the upcoming national
convention in New Orleans this July. She states that if a person has an
issue with making their hotel reservations, make sure to say, NFB
Convention. She also states that currently, rooms are still available at
both hotels.

Annette makes the announcement of the next state affiliate board meeting
which will take place on Ohio’s Zoom platform on April 23rd at 10AM.

Shelby provided information on the See3D upcoming fundraiser. It will take
place at the Townhall on May 4th at 6PM.

Motion:

Shelby makes a motion to donate $100.00 to the See3D fundraiser as a
chapter.

Maggie second the motion.

Donation to See3D has been passed by everyone.



New Business: The BELL Program

Annette shares the information on the upcoming 2022 summer BELL program for
Ohio. She state that it will be held in person and the dates are August 7th
to August 12th, which will continued to be held at OSSB, for blind kids
that are between the ages of 4 to 12. She goes even further to announce
that Ohio is still in search of volunteers and donations. Annette also says
that all chapter members need to make sure we are promoting the program as
well.

Jordy would like for the chapter to hold off on making a donation at this
time until we have more information on their needs.



News & Announcements:

Annette shares information that was recently provided during the last
presidential release, such as the news about the Blind Driver Challenge.
dan Parker set a new world record for the fastest blind driver with a
record of driving 211 miles an hour.

Annette announced the news an upcoming benefit concert to raise money and
support for blind Ukrainians. The World Blind Union benefit concert will be
a radio event that will stream on Saturday, April 16th at 2PM. Listeners
can tune in on the MushroomFM radio station, or other streaming platforms
such as Nation’s Blind and Newsline.

Our next meeting will be Saturday, May 7th at 11AM EDT.
