Hello,

I am very sad to say that our meeting tomorrow, Saturday, August 3 is being canceled. Between members coming down with Covid and others having plans to go to the Ohio State State fair, we just would not have enough people in attendance to justify having a productive meeting.

A couple of things to keep in mind. We talked about all of us getting together on August 18 and going to see the audio described showing of the Wizard of Oz at the Ohio Theatre. I would still love to do this as a group if people are interested.

Also, we will need to talk about our gavel report some in September. And, making up for lost time over the summer with us not meeting since June, we will probably have a lot to talk about then. So plan for a little bit longer meeting.

so, our next meeting will be on Saturday, September 7, at the cornerstone deli. In the meantime, please keep in mind and start preparing for our state convention. It is at the Doubletree in Westlake, Ohio and will be on November 15 16th and 17th. Registration will be happening soon, and it is not too early to reserve your room.

If anyone has any ideas for topics for upcoming meetings, or need to talk about something before our next meeting, please let me know.

I hope everybody has a great rest of your summer And I do hope that we can do something together for the movie on the 18th.

Take care.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise the expectations of blind people because we know that low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want, blindness is not what holds you back.
