Hello,

Below, you will find the list of all of the movies that are going to be shown this summer for the CAPA summer movie series at the Ohio Theatre. Usually at our main meeting, we discuss which movies we would like to have audio described and give Jane a list of our interest. Unfortunately, she would like to know by this Tuesday the 12th what ones we may be interested in. I know that’s only a couple of days, but I was not able to post it on this list. Serve until it was made public today. So, if there are any of the below movies that you would particularly like to see, please let me know, and I will pass the message along to Jane. There are several of them that have my interest.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise the expectations of blind people because we know that low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want, blindness is not what holds you back.

Subject: 2026 CAPA Summer Movie Series

Hi! Here are the movies for this year’s CAPA Summer Movie Series. Please keep this information confidential and ask your members not to share it before the announcement in this coming Sunday’s paper. I would appreciate your responses by next Tuesday, 5/12, so that we can make the schedule and start getting the word out. If you could give me some idea of rank order by most desired to least, I will keep that in mind when putting together a schedule. We are planning on either four or five movies over the course of the series. Both CAPA and I appreciate your input to provide you with the movies you want to see.

Remember, if a movie you really want to see isn’t on the schedule of audio described movies, you can always make a request. Please try to make any requests with enough time for CAPA to arrange for an audio describer and for the describer to have time to prepare.

Thanks!

Jane
