This is your chance to provide advice to the Secretary of State’s Office on issues pertaining to people with disabilities and assuring the voting process is accessible for everyone.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt'>The ADA Advisory Committee will be responsible for meeting quarterly throughout the year to provide recommendations and suggestions to the Secretary of State’s office regarding disability related issues. The committee will provide guidance to establish and implement programs that encourage and ensure that people with disabilities can participate in the electoral process. This could include, but is not limited to providing recommendations on poll worker training, voter education initiatives, polling place accessibility and other disability related activities. ADA Advisory Committee members may be asked to serve on project specific workgroups to handle specific tasks related to access issues, voter education, poll worker training or other disability related issues.
