I understand that other events come up (wedding baby showers and etc.) We spoke of moving but then you have people whom will wish to change the date then not attend the meetings. Also when we discussed doing the changes for the holiday’s for the year only three change dates which I believe are Christmas, New years and the fourth of July. The others dates may change but the day itself does not. EX. Memorial day, labor day are always on Monday Thanksgiving is always a Thursday and Easter is always a Sunday. I know that I am willing to change as long as it is not the 3rd Saturday I have a event that Saturday all year long. I also believe a number of our members also have a meeting on the 2nd Saturday of the month which also does not change. I am willing to go with whatever the group decides as long as the ones requesting the change attend at least a 3rd of the yearly meeting. I think that is fair since we do wish to change then have people not show up. It is usually the same 7 or 8 people at each meeting give or take. Since the change in the board members we have not had the support of most of the pervious board members which I find unfortunate but the reality of the situation. I think that it should be noted that without active members the Columbus chapter may once again not exist which would damage the State in whole. Those which have conflicts should put them aside for the greater good and if they can not attend atleast contribute ideas and pay dues. Would also have to take in consideration the State meeting you all have to attend every quarter. Would also have to check with the Pastor at the Church if we plan on changing dates in certain months as to have approval for the time and space there. However, Please note the group is small but motivated and have been working on increasing membership and have worked well together on the fund raisers. Need to make sure I state that so my words are not taken out of content.
