We spent some time discussing the vehicle donation program. We can now accept donations of cars, trucks, boats with trailers, motor cycles, planes, tractors, vans, and RV’s. All we need to do is find the donors. We can send them to </span><span lang=EN-CA style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Trebuchet MS","sans-serif";color:#333333'><a href="http://www.nfb.org/vehicledonations">www.nfb.org/vehicledonations</a>. Interested donors may also call 1-855-659-9314. We have $605.00 in the treasury. MariLyn moved the financial report be accepted. Although this article was written many years ago, it is still relevant in our lives and in the NFB.<o:p></o:p></i></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:18.0pt'><i><span lang=EN-CA style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Trebuchet MS","sans-serif";color:#333333'>The May NFB publication report will be given by Stephanie. June report will be done by J.W. Smith. People should be thinking about volunteering for this activity in August and the autumn months.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:18.0pt'><i><span lang=EN-CA style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Trebuchet MS","sans-serif";color:#333333'> Eric gave a report on BELL. We have six applicants right now. Angie and Shelbi have both ordered several books that they are donating to the program.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:18.0pt'><i><span lang=EN-CA style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Trebuchet MS","sans-serif";color:#333333'> POBC fundraiser was discussed. They are donating all proceeds this year to BELL. There was discussion about this fundraiser. Angie was happy but surprised to learn she had won a gift card as she had not been notified of this by anyone in the division. <o:p></o:p></span></i></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:18.0pt'><span lang=EN-CA style='font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Trebuchet MS","sans-serif";color:#333333'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-CA>Eric moved that the May meeting be combined with a picnic at MariLyn’s house on May 25th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Stephanie seconded the motion, and it passed. This is our regularly scheduled meeting date although the times are slightly different. MariLyn will have food for the grill. Angie will bring potato salad. Shelbi will bring baked beans, Eric chips, and Stephanie Dessert.</span><span lang=EN-CA style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-CA>Let Shelbi know if you are coming and what you plan to bring. We should all continue to bring fundraising ideas to the chapter.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-CA>State affiliate is selling drawing tickets for an iPad. Cost is $5 each. The winner will be able to choose from several iPad models.
