One more thing: Where are you from? Are you in a chapter of the NFB?

Thanks so much, not sure what you do to fundraise, but I hope you can let me
know. This is a part of a message I sent to another NFB friend some time
ago, you can see some of my ideas here, so feel free to read them and hope
we can talk about that further.

If you want to do fundraising, you don't always have to do it actively, but
things can also come to you as well if you are careful about how and what
you do, lol. If I had my own organization, I think what I would do first is
attract some really capable people to serve in the leadership team, people I
know I can trust and people I know have done great work before and even
volunteer work and never complained about it or wanted financial gain. Then
from there, I would establish the philosophy and the group with them, we
would do research on members we can attract, things we can do, people that
can help us.
Then I would advertise it in the media, through the disability
organizations, schools and universities, so the chain of people will start
to form. When they get to the group, they will probably be connected to
others previously that want to also get to learn about the group, so I would
make sure that the group is what was really intended to be. From there, I
would make sure that whatever was done, was done right and as it needs to be
done. Sometimes unexpected things happen as well, but I believe if leaders
are decent, then we will have less problems. Fromthere, when others see what
we do and how much people benefit, they would start to donate. When they see
people out doing all kinds of things by themselves and with them, they would
get to be engaged in your activities, would help you organize things and
some may even want to personally get involved in helping you.
