[Cash-and-Caring] idea for auction item

I belong to a fundraising listserv which recently posted this idea. Thought I would share it since I know some are planning auctions.
For the last few years we have auctioned off Vidanta vacation packages through Charity Booster. It's a 7 night Mexico vacation and the donor gets to choose from 4 or 5 locations in Mexico. It works well for us as the package only costs the charity $1,000, so we can auction it off at a lower amount, which fits better into the budgets of most of our attendees. Plus you can sell as many as you want. Our first year we sold 6 packages for $1700 so we netted $4200 on one auction item, which is good for us. And they have been pretty flexible around the pandemic, giving people two years to use it (although check with them for the most up to date info on what terms they're using now).
