Hi Adrienne, 

 

You asked me to send you a list of things my team needed for Haiti so I am sending it to you J I thought I would give you some background on the trip to so you could share some details.  I will be traveling to Haiti for 2 weeks as part of a Humanitarian Medical Team, this will be my 2nd trip to Haiti. The organization I am traveling with is called Project Helping Hands and they are a not-for-profit organization. They have sent over 50 teams to various countries, including Dominican Republic, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Bolivia, Nigeria, the Sudan, Liberia, Kenya, and Uganda.  Each team raises all funds and supplies for their trip.  We'll see an average of 200 patients each clinical day.  And I will have tons of pictures to share!  In fact, I will include some from my last trip J

 

Supplies we need:

  a.. Multivitamins - adult, prenatal, childrens (preferably not the gummy kind because they melt J) we will give out about 80,000 vitamins. 
  b.. Reading glasses 
  c.. Antifungal cream 
  d.. Antibiotic ointment 
  e.. Pain relievers (Ibuprofen/Advil, Acetaminophen/Tylenol, Naproxen/Aleve) 
  f.. Formula & Small bottles 
  g.. Toothbrushes 
  h.. Small bottles of Shampoo 
 

And, I will be having a garage sale with some of my team members to help raise money.  I am collecting donations for this as well.  Plus, there are many medications like antibiotics, IV fluids, and other prescription meds that we will need to be purchased so money donations are also appreciated. ALL donations are appreciated and so much help is given to people because of the generosity of the people who donate.  

 

Thanks Adrienne for even offering to help me in my endeavors! You are beyond wonderful and amazing, with or without your help in this, I think this of you J and you should probably be reminded of it more often.
