[Cccnfbw] fund raiser for WSSB

I agree that this is a good opportunity to assist the school and show our
appreciation to those who have supported our organization. I will express my
opinion again about these kinds of donations. I am aposed. I would love to
see our chapter come up with a policy on such things. I believe our treasury
should be used to help the NFB not other organizations. We are not a
charitable giving organization we are a movement to change what it means to
be blind. I don't think giving money this way is good. If individuals want
to donate that is good. If members want to attend and make a donation that
is good. If members want to attend and perform that is good, but I say no
money.

This Saturday night, September 26th, from 7 to 10 PM there is an open mic at
Fries Auidtorium It is a fund raiser for WSSB. Donations will be accepted
and the proceeds go to WSSB.

I think this is a great opportunity for our local NFB chapter to step up and
make a donation. I suggest $50. 

We had staff from WSSB volunteer to help us at the Amphitheater.  This is a
good way to help build a better relationship with WSSB.
