Good afternoon, from our meeting discussion today. Our chapter discussion centered around ensuring that the physical barrier does not interfere with crosswalk navigation. Many suggested a tactile diagram to better explain the setup. Hope this helps

Subject: Re: [CCCNFBW] West Side Bike Project
Most of the plan has to do with creating bike lanes with a barrier between the bike lanes and the traffic. Most of the info has to do with Columbia Street.
They have given us data of studies they have about coalitions with bikers and pedestrians.
They have given data on alternative streets such as Daniels/Franklin, Washington, Kauffman/Lincoln.
The committee is to come up with different ideas to meet our goal of a protected bike path from North to South starting at 45th St down to 6th St.
Seems like a lot of homeowners are worried about loosing there street parking. Most of the homes are older and garage type structures are smaller.
I have mentioned many times I want to make sure what is done is safe and accessible for all.
Some of the committee members have some interesting ideas like 1 way streets, or blocking the East/West streets so traffic can’t go through. There is an other lady from the C-TRAN advisory committee (Friend of mom/Betty); she mentioned being worried about the blocked streets and CVan.

Beth, thank you for the update. I think we would like to discuss this at the meeting. Has there been anything in your meetings that’s far that you feel we should be concerned about or is there some topics of discussion you feel that we should put on the table tomorrow? Not everyone is up to speed on what the newest presentation encompasses I believe, at least I know I am not. Thank you so much

Morning Clark County Chapter,
I am not able to come to the meeting tomorrow but wanted to give you an update on what is going on so far.
The past 3 meetings have mostly been presentations on demographics, the proposals, and lots of data.
Our next meeting is on Wed 9/25 we will be braking into groups and working on ideas of ways to make a compromise for things to work for everyone.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please let me know.
