[CCCNFBW] Uncork For Braille - Wine and Cheese Fundraising Event

Good afternoon,

 

We have our Wine and Cheese Event coming up on September 13, 2026 from 2 pm
until 5 pm. We are going to need help from chapter members to make this a
successful fundraising event. I am going to attach our flyer and our
donation letter to this email for you to help with finding donations or
selling tickets for the event. We are making baskets to raffle off and they
will hold various donations that we receive. We will be putting together the
baskets on Friday 9/11. If you have donations to go into the baskets, we
need them by 9/10.

 

Tickets are $25 each. With this ticket each person gets entrance to the
event. They can choose either a flight of different wines, a glass of wine,
or another beverage such as Italian sodas. There will be a complementary
snack table for those that would like a snack. We will also have local
musicians playing for entertainment.  If you have sold tickets, please send
Corey the information of the person's who bought the tickets name, phone
number, and email, if you have it, as he will be compiling the information

also be able to sell tickets at the door. Tickets bought at the event can be
purchased with either cash or digitally with a credit or debit card. 

 

We will be offering two different levels of raffle baskets. We will have 3
Super Raffle Baskets. The are (1) season tickets to the Vancouver Symphany,
(2) A handmade Afghan made by Kaye Kipp, (3) A one night stay at the Hilton
Vancouver in downtown Vancouver. The super raffle tickets will be sold for
$5 a ticket. We have not made the other baskets yet, so the items inside
have not been decided yet. These baskets will raffle for $1 a ticket or 6
tickets for $5. 

 

The day of the event we need chapter members to come and work the event. We
will need help with setting up before the event, greeters to welcome people
at the door, people to go around and talk to people seeing if they have any
questions or would like to purchase raffle tickets, and help cleaning up
after the event. 

 

We will be discussing the event at our chapter meeting on Saturday 9/12 as
well but this is the day before the event so we really need to have things
setup before then if possible.
