transit funding intact. Of course, she skirted that question and, instead,

government maximum discretion as to how to use the money. That could either be

believe it is important for state and local governments to be able to
determine what kinds of transportation options meet their individual

Infrastructure Committee is still working on legislation that would
reauthorize transportation programs. As a member of the
Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I am working to make sure
any transportation funding bill will give local governments the
freedom to determine what kind of transportation and infrastructure
best meets their local needs. </SPAN></SPAN> <o:p></o:p></P>
