<P>The National Federation of the Blind is a consumer group. Most of the people have some degree of blindness, are family or friends of blind people wanting to improve the lives of the blind.</P>
<P>On the national level these are different groups such as Parents of Blind Children, Diabetic Action Network, Sports, etc. </P>
<P>You should come to the picnic and meet the members of the local chapter here in Vancouver Washington. Other members will be bringing there families too; so bring yours too.</P>
<P>Unfortunately I have an other obligation that day. We are a fun group.</P>

<P>Hello, My name is Dawn Georgeades. I have a son Named Jakobi who is 3 years old and is blind and has partial defness because he had stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer at 8 months old. I cannot remember how I got on this list. I was curious as to what all this National Federation of the Blind stuff is. Is it a volunteer organization? Does it cost money to get involved? What all do they do for the blind community? I wasnt sure if this was something I was even supposed to be on a list for :) </P>
