Hi All, 

Our next NFB chapter meeting on Tuesday, March April 4th  at 6:30 p.m. is
fast approaching. The Other Barn is located at 5851 Robert Oliver Pl,
Columbia, MD.

 

During our March meeting we signed letters to our legislators. Spoke of the
Tino's fund raiser on April 11th. Got a very detailed treasurer report. 

 

The tentative agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1.    Chapter business

2.    Presidential release

3.    Learning the NFB Pledge

4.    Introduction to Braille and common public areas Braille appears

transportation fund if possible.

 

NFB Pledge

 

I pledge to participate actively in the effort of the National Federation of
the Blind to achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the blind; to

support the policies and programs of the Federation; and to abide by its
constitution.

April 8, from  12 to 1:30 pm, Friends is sponsoring a workshop conducted by
Joel Zimba on the orbit reader.  The workshop will be at LBPH, 415 Park
Avenue, Baltimore.

August 19, 2017.  Annual Crab Feast, Columbus Gardens, Baltimore, MD.

September 9, 2017. Board of Directors Meeting, time and place to be
announced. 

October 19-20, 2017. Braille Literacy in the 21st Century Conference,
jointly sponsored by the National Federation of the Blind and the Maryland
School for the Blind.  200 East Wells Street, Baltimore, Maryland. 

November 10-12, 2017.  Annual State Convention, Sheraton Baltimore North
Hotel in Towson, Maryland.
