Space at the Marriott, our headquarters hotel, has filled up. However, the
New Orleans Sheraton, our overflow hotel, is right across the street and has

plenty of rooms available for all nights of the convention at the convention
rate of $109 per night plus taxes and fees. Call 888-627-7033 and ask to

a room for the "NFB Convention".

#NFB22 Convention Virtual Experience

 

We are excited to offer opportunities for engagement and connection to
participants who are unable to attend in-person convention. The 2022
National Convention

Virtual Experience is a dedicated online space for exclusive convention
activities. Registration for the virtual experience will be at no cost.

In-person convention attendees will be required to provide proof of a
negative covid-19 test within 72 hours of arrival.

Proof can be provided from a doctor

Picture of a at home test with a timestamp

Can provide proof online to an email address

Or on-site testing will occur starting July 5th - be warned these could be
very long lines.

You will receive a bracelet to show proof was provided.

Without a bracelet the attendee will not be able to pick up registration
packets or get into any convention spaces.

 

Career Fair

 

The Career Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
convention time in New Orleans. Location TBD. This will be an in-person
event with

opportunities for interview screenings and employment workshops.
Registration in advanced is required. Deadline to register is June 21.

Blind

 

NFBMD Convention Orientation - Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 8:00PM

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland will once again be hosting
a National Convention Orientation for Marylanders on Thursday, June 30, 2022

starting at 8:00PM. All Marylanders who are attending an in-person NFB
national convention for the first time or those who just want information
about

the Convention are welcome. We will be discussing what to expect,
Maryland-specific events and activities, and mentoring and getting
assistance during

the convention.
