[CentralOK] Important State convention deadlines, Please read!

State convention is just over 2 weeks away, March 26-29. If you are a DRS
client and plan to get financial assistance from DRS, You need to call your
counselor now if you haven't already made arrangements. We have been told
that DRS is putting a deadline on when clients can receive assistance but we
aren't being told exactly what that cut off date is. Don't delay, call now.
Also, if you live within 60 miles of the hotel, DRS is refusing to pay hotel
costs for clients. Don't let this stop you from attending convention. If you
are in this position, please call Glenda Farnum immediately at 405-255-6482.
NFB Oklahoma will be able to help with hotel cost but you must act
immediately. Again, hotel financial assistance is available for DRS clients
who live within 60 miles of the hotel and DRS refuses to pay for your hotel.


 

If you are attending convention at your own expense and haven't booked your
hotel room, the deadline is Thursday March 12. If you don't book by the
deadline, you will not be guaranteed our group rate. To book online, go to:

It is important that you register early , particularly if you plan to attend
banquet or eat at either of the convention included lunches. We cannot
guarantee meal availability if you register at the door. You can register
online and still pay at the door. This will ensure you get meals and help us
plan appropriately.
