The Tuesday, November 5 election is quickly approaching. Here are some things to know:
All voting machines in Mecklenburg County are accessible. Tell the poll worker what kind of assistive technology you want like screen reading and magnification and they will provide.
Early voting begins October 17
Last stand-alone day to register to vote is October 11, but you still can register to vote and vote on the same day during early voting
Early voting ends on November 2 at 3 PM
Early voting is Monday through Sunday, although the hours available are different on the weekends
If you want to vote by absentee ballot, you can request your ballot now.
Call your county board of elections to request an absentee ballot. The phone number for the Mecklenburg Board Of Elections is 704 336 2133
Last day to request an absentee ballot is October 29.
