Deborah. Agree with that assessment totally. Joy: you need an IPhone with
the Uber App installed to request Uber Service, which runs by the address of
your location and GPS. Before you make your first trip request, you have to
sign up for the service using the App and provide credit card information,
etc. For me, the sign up process was fairly straightforward, but I wouldn't
recommend it at all if you're in a public place like a restaurant and need a
ride home right away.

Yes, it was Walter.  

You have to have the Uber app set up on your phone to use it, by the way.  

If it helps, I can tell you that a taxi fare from where you live, Joy, to
the movie theater would be about ten dollars.  

Uber would be a little less, if you have to pay for it, but again, you need
to have the app on your phone.  

Not a good idea to use it first time when you need to be somewhere at a
specific time.

Hi all,

 

Joy Thomas asked about rides on Uber. She mentioned someone in our group
offered their code for a free ride on uber some time ago but neither of us
could remember who that was or how it worked. If anyone knows something
about that please respond.
