[Cinci-nfb] Trying to find better care for Jacque?

I will be visiting Beachwood homes in Hyde Park one day next week to build some relationships before making a decision whether or not Jacque will be moving there.
They focus on all ages, and they mostly work with people who are recovering from any type of issues regarding their Brain.   I am working with a Pro Seniors group called the Ombudsmans, and unfortunately their resources are limited as far as assisting people like Jacque.

  Unfortunately, I’m not sure if CILO does much for care advocacy as they focus on independent living services for people with disabilities—such as housing. I would contact Pro Seniors first. They are funded to serve residents 65 or over but might have some recommendations for you.

    This is the sort of thing that they are supposed to specialize in.  

    It is heartbreaking to hear that Jacque is not getting adequate care where she is.  

    I think the best approach to finding better care, though, is to pull together help from as many agencies as possible.  

    And speaking of agencies, can the social workers at CABVI help you at all?  

     

    I’ll keep thinking and send any ideas that come.  

    Meanwhile, I do hope you’ll contact Center for independent living Options and find out what assistance might also be available right there in our own backyard, so to speak, at CABVI.

    Unfortunately Jacque isn't receiving the best care at Judson Village, and I'm looking in to possibly moving her to another facility, and taking some kind of action against Judson to improve Jacque's care so that she can get well enough to return home ASAP.
