Hello Sheri, 

Thanks for this summary of your committee's meeting.  

Two items need clarification.  

First, you write:

"

The Meet the Blind Month Committee also agreed that, after the discussion
that took place during the Membership Committee meeting, no further actions
need to be taken."

This is completely unclear.  The Meet the Blind Month Committee is talking
about a discussion that occurred in the Membership committee?  Which
discussion?  No further action regarding what?  Sorry.  It just doesn't make
sense.  

 

Second item, less important, is that you seem to mean that you are answering
my email by addressing it in this summary.  If you sent another email, I did
not get it.  

That said, am glad to have the answer, and look forward to the other
clarification.

Meet the Blind Month meeting September 22, 2015

In attendance: Sheri, Jessie, Walter, Paul, Bernie

 

1.       October 31st Bake sale: 

Paul and Bernie updated their report.

Save-A-Lot location McHenry and Harrison Ave

10 - 2 PM

Rain or shine.

Two tables and benches provided

Banner displayed around table. Deanna currently has banner.

Paul has cash drawer, may need an opening balance from treasury

 

Sheri will look up address and make a flyer to be distributed to all members
and event made on Facebook to be shared.

Possible Radio Reading Service announcement

 

Propose to all chapter members to make baked items for sale.  Cookies,
brownies, cupcakes.  Items need to bagged up and ready for sale. 

 

Sheri proposed making Halloween treat bags to be sold for those who may need
them to give out that night. Walter proposed that treat bags be made as a
goodwill gesture to be given to patrons who buy baked goods. Treat bags will
have new NFB label on them.

 

Literature  and Kernel books to be give out.

 

Walter proposed that any remaining baked goods will be divided among members
who attend.

 

 

 

2.       October 22nd  event

Answering Deborah's email concerning the event, Sheri will get a table on
Fountain Square. 

 

The Meet the Blind Month Committee also agreed that, after the discussion
that took place during the Membership Committee meeting, no further actions
need to be taken.
