Dear Sheri and all, 

I am so glad the party was a success and felt so connected, just now, reading this message from Sheri. 

I invite everyone to share holiday plans in the way Sheri has done here. It is, at present, the only kind of conversation we can have. 

 

Sheri, please say hello to your mother and sisters for me.  I remember tham all very fondly, and you are lucky indeed to have them.

 

I do not yet know much about the where and what of my own Christmas.  

I know I am alive and know I am grateful for it.  

Physical therapy is, as one friend commented, like a fulltime job in itself, so that is pretty much all I manage to be awake for!

Today, there is a team meeting during which I hope to learn when I will be released from the hospital.  

My ticket to Florida was for tomorrow.  Now, I just hope it can be before December 25, but I’ll make it work whatever day it is.

Merry Christmas to all and looking forward to hearing your stories.

Hello Cincinnati Chapter,

Thank you all for a great Christmas party! I know there was a lot of planning that went into the event, led by Annie and her crew. I personally enjoyed getting out for the festivities after the stress of finals’ week, this has been a long semester for me. Thank you for putting up with my silliness, as I am known to exhibit from time to time!

You all did such a great job of putting me in the Christmas spirit, and the desire to be around my family for the Holidays, that I booked a trip to New Jersey today. I will be spending Christmas with my mother and my two sisters, as well as visiting my nephew and his family in Maryland. My daughters will be with their father in Florida. The hardest part will be boarding my little doggie. She has never had to do that before. She will probably never speak to me again.

I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year!
