[Cinci-nfb] Meeting with Pastoral Council at Assumption Parish Mt. Healthy: Very Positive

Hello all. I wanted to let you know that Lisa Hall and I just came back from
a very positive discussion with the Pastoral Council at Assumption Parish
Mt. Healthy regarding an outreach event. It was agreed that PC will look at
date and times for this type of event, involving Chapter Members and
Parishioners. Fr. Jerry, our acting pastor, mentioned that this could be a
pastoral region-wide event, which would mean three parishes would be
involved, not just Assumption. This event would most likely occur on a
Saturday afternoon following 4:00 Mass at Assumption and operate in the
context of monthly "wine and cheese" events that the Parish hosts on
Saturdays. These events tend to attract a lot of seniors as well as those
with Blind relatives needing support. It will, of course, give the Parish an
overview of the capabilities of competent Blind people in our community as
well as serve as a conduit for new members. The Pastoral Council has agreed
that I will be their point of contact from the Chapter.

 

Please pray that this moves forward, and I encourage all of you to use the
letter I posted to the list as a springboard for outreach efforts. Please
let me know if you need me to repost the letter or send it to you
individually.
