Hello Sheri and Annie and all,
While a TV interview can be very exciting, there is no real information
provided to us other than a promising subject line.
When is the interview?
Who is conducting it?
What channel is airing it?
Will it be aired live or recorded?
How much time is allotted to it?
You say that primary focus will be the walk, but how are you sure of that?
Unless this is a public access channel with a lengthy program, my advice
would be to prepare statements that are 15 and 20 seconds long, because you
probably won't be given much time, and offering brief succinct statements is
the only way you can control what will actually be broadcast.
Again, this can be very exciting, and would be much more so with some
details.
Good luck!
Deborah

Cane Safety Day Event
Hi Sheri and Annie,
I want to say great job in getting this publicity set up on the story of
white cane safety day. Some of you know that White Cane Safety Day is on
Sunday October 15, 2017. You also should remember that during the month of
October is Meet the Blind month. Also this month is National Employment
month for people with disabilities. We all should educate the general public
every day that we are out and about that there is a 60% unemployment rate
among the blind and disabled, we have people in various nonprofit agencies
who are making less than minimum wage depending on others to help pay bills,
etc. Rents are high, groceries are high, transportation is high especially
if you are on a low income.
While I'm thinking of this, I am a new Aira Explorer as of August 8, 2017.
Anyone who is interested in learning more about Aira can go to www.aira.io.
If you want to sign up for service, let me know and I'll help you get
started. You can use my name as a referral and you and I will get 100
minutes for the first 3 months of service as a promotion.
I hope to have this opportunity set up at state convention for those who
want to give it a test run.
I hope to see everyone in Columbus, Ohio during the weekend of October
27-29, 2017.
Let's get out and register for convention and raise the funds we need to get
us there.
Sincerely,
Lisa Hall
