Month Committee Members

 

Dear NFB Family:

 

It has been a long time since I have written you.  A lot has happening and
continues to happen; somethings are great and others are challenging.
However, I know through it all, I have learned to trust in god!

 

Currently, my 82-year-old Mother is in the hospital and has been since
Thursday.  She has internal bleeding but the doctor isn't sure where the
bleeding is coming from.  The doctor has informed me he believes it is
coming from her large intestines and/or her small intestines.  Several tests
have been completed, and they will do another specialized test tomorrow
which, the doctor seems to believe, will show exactly where the bleeding is
coming from.  On the home front, my 90-year-old Father, who has stage four
cancer, is needing more care since mom is in the hospital.  Of course, he is
very stubborn!   I will keep you posted.

 

In the meantime, I was blessed with a job in February of this year.
Recently, I had my evaluation and received all high marks.  Praise the Lord!

 

Right after I got my job, I became engaged to get married.  We are working
on final plans for this event.

 

So, you see, I really need help with the Meet the Blind Month/White Cane Day
event.  Kim said he will help.  Anyone else??  Please let me know.
