Clovernook Historical Committee. Alongside the paintings will be

Exhibition will be open to the public and kick off with a reception on
May 18th, from 7-9pm in the Clovernook Center's Community Room.

Effie Trader was the eldest of the four Trader sisters, born in 1874.
She studied under internationally renowned painter Frank Duveneck at
the Cincinnati Art Academy for several years and was one of the early
presidents of the Cincinnati Women's Art Club. Her travels can be
traced through her paintings: her time in Taos, New Mexico is
reflected in her street scenes, her rocky seascapes can be pinpointed
to Gloucester, Massachusetts, and her bright landscapes were the
result of wintering in Florida. She also produced immaculate
miniatures and portraits, several of which will be on display in the
exhibition.
