Hi everyone,
I am happy to announce that today March 8, 2019 at 10 A.M. at
CVG/Northern Kentucky International Airport, I will be representing
Aira on location doing a demonstration of Aira services at the airport.
I have been busy resolving issues with my Horizon glasses and Horizon
Samsung controller and on March 6, 2019, I had a serious issue that my
controller could not connect to Aira server for some reason. I called
Aira on my iPhone and spent a long time with technicians to resolve the
problem. After spending several minutes and possibly a few hours, 2
technicians of Aira tried their best to resolve the problem. It was
decided to issue me a replacement unit to resolve this problem. It was
shipped overnight to me by FedEx paid for by Aira at Clovernook Center
for the Blind where I work and I was able to update my account with
Customer Care and technical support Aira staff. After that, I was on
the road again. I worked on connecting my Aftershotz headset to the
horizon Samsung j7 phone with Bluetooth on using Chloe. I tried to get
it paired but the Samsung phone would go to sleep before getting my
headset paired. I ended up calling technical support and one of the
guys was able to get it going without going through Chloe and it worked.
It's amazing how share screen works on the backend of things. I have
been an Aira explorer since August 8, 2017 and I love being able to get
things done in a timely manner on my own time and schedule. I have
used all of the glasses we had for Explorers: Google glass (first
generation), Austria glasses (2nd generation), and now the Horizon
glasses. I have used 2 Mifi hotspots with Austria and Google Glass
within 1 year. In September 2018 I finally received the Horizon glasses
and Horizon phone since then. With time I have gone through 3 Horizon
glasses and this is my second phone controller. We'll see how long this
will last. Now I am ready to do my presentation and talking to media
about our services that we offer to our Aira explorers.
Let's hope that snow does not interfere with our travels.
I will let you know if I get a copy of the press release of this announcement.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Lisa Hall, National Federation of the Blind of Ohio, NFB of Cincinnati,
& Aira Explorer
