[Cinci-NFB] Conversation with Bernie Dressell

Hello all.

 

I wanted to let everyone know that I had about a 30 minute conversation with
Bernie Dressell this afternoon. She is holding up OK but reports that she is
very isolated and cannot leave her apartment due to concerns about the
Coronavirus and limited transportation. Her grandson and his girlfriend are
helping her with the necessities but she is interested in staying occupied.
In particular, she would like supplies for sewing masks that she can produce
herself with her old sewing machine. She might need someone (of course young
and not at risk for contracting the virus) to help her set up her sewing
machine. I explained that I would reach out to people and have a follow up
conversation on Wednesday.

 

Bernie is still very interested in being as active in the community as she
possibly can and would like people to stay in touch. I think this is the
least the Federation can do for her in this time.

 

Please let me know if you have any ideas.
