  1.  The National Federation of the Blind of Ohio, Cincinnati Chapter was convened by President Gloria Robinson at approximately 1:38 P.M. on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Frisch's Restaurant, 1003 Gest Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203. This was a hybrid meeting. Attending in person were President Gloria Robinson, Vice President Dave perry, Christopher Sabine, and Chris Windham. Attending by telephone were Frank Bragassa, Tammy Smith, Haley Thurston, Tammy McRae, Ana Burrage, Emily Pennington, and Gary Warren.


  1.  Dave Perry began today's meeting with an announcement expressing the importance of knowing who attends meetings. He also expressed optimism that more members will attend meetings as the Chapter continues to meet in-person. Gloria also requested that all members pay their dues to keep the membership up-to-date. Dues are currently $5 and should be paid to Treasurer Emily Pennington.


  1.  Emily Pennington gave this month's Treasurer's Report. Dave Perry moved to accept this month's Treasurer's Report. Dave Perry seconded. The motion passed.


  1.  Dave Perry moved to approve the April minutes. Gary Warren seconded. The motion passed.


  1.  Dave Perry gave a brief Membership Committee report. He indicated that the Chapter is expected to gain a new member in the coming month. All are doing a good job in terms of recruiting new members. While acknowledging that it has been a difficult year for some members, he praised the Chapter for sticking together. He also expressed his thanks to those who sent messages of support and attended the services and funeral for his wife, Jacque, who passed away at the end of April. The Chapter held a moment of silence at today's meeting in Jacque's honor.


  1.  Gary Warren and Dave Perry gave a Fundraising Committee report. The Chapter will be holding a ball in honor of Jacque Perry on Saturday, August 31 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 4109 W. Eighth Street in West Price Hill. The Chapter is working on selling Buddy cards from La Rosas and a candy fundraiser at Kroger. There will be a fundraiser in October for Blind Equality Achievement Month and an Italian Dinner Fundraiser at the Knights of Columbus Hall in October with spaghetti, lasagna, alfredo, and possibly pizza, but an exact date for these events has not been finalized as of today's meeting. Finally, President Gloria Robinson indicated that she is raising funds for a van to transport members to the Ohio Affiliate Convention, which is set for November 14-17 in Westlake, Ohio at the Doubletree Hilton Westlake Hotel, outside Cleveland.


  1.  Gloria expressed that she is seeking members to speak on Blindness to churches and other community organizations.


  1.  Gloria and Gary Warren have expressed that they will attend National Convention, which is set for July 3-8 at the Rosen Center Hotel in Orlando, Florida, representing the Cincinnati Chapter. Christopher Sabine expressed that The Ohio Affiliate Convention is set for November 14-17, 2024 at the Double Tree Hotel at 1100 Crocker Road, Westlake, Ohio. Admission information has not been released. The convention is hosted by the Loraine County Chapter.


  1.  Christopher Sabine reported that the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will be holding a Eucharistic Revival on Saturday, July 6 at 10:00 for those who are Catholic or interested in joining the Catholic Faith. The event will start at 10:00 A.M with a Mass at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral in Downtown Cincinnati at 325 W. Eighth Street and a procession afterward to Fountain Square at 11:00 A.M. Food Trucks and other refreshments will be available following the procession. The Belongingness Ministry of the Archdiocese, which serves parishioners with disabilities, is providing Braille programming for all activities offered at this event, and Christopher indicated that he has received a special invitation to this event from the Ministry.


  1.  The June meeting of the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio, Cincinnati Chapter was adjourned at approximately 2:07 P.M. on Saturday, June 22, 2024.
