<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>I had a lovely conversation
with Jon, owner of the Washington Platform, a few weeks ago, and I have many
pieces of good news to report. </FONT></SPAN><SPAN lang=en-us>
</SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>First, he and his staff love
having the Federation hold our meetings at Washington
Platform!</FONT></SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>Secondly, they were just as
concerned as we were about the escallating chaos. </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>From their perspective, it was
difficult to serve us with some people coming early, sitting
in</FONT></SPAN><SPAN lang=en-us> <FONT face=Calibri>the bar, while
other</FONT></SPAN><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>s</FONT></SPAN><SPAN
lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri> went directly into the room. He agreed
that taking orders for all of us at one time was a decidedly preferable
approach! </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>So, our meeting will begin at
1:00 p.m.</FONT></SPAN><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>, Saturday, January
24.</FONT></SPAN><SPAN lang=en-us></SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>Please arrive as close to that
time as possible, and go directly into the room where we hold our
meetings. </FONT></SPAN><SPAN lang=en-us> </SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>At approximately 2:30, wait
staff will come in to take our meal orders. </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>If we have not finished with
business at that time, we’ll simply pause the agenda for the taking of orders
and then resume when all have been placed. </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>Washington Platform staff have
always been</FONT></SPAN><SPAN lang=en-us> <FONT face=Calibri>welcoming and
gracious to us, and I hope that this adjustment to the plan will be a dramatic
improvement. </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>As you know, we voted last
meeting to meet January 24 and February 28, both Saturdays, at Washington
Platform, and to then re-examine our meeting plac</FONT></SPAN><SPAN
lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>e and time. </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>I hope we will find this new
schedule to be the perfect fit. </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>Finally, Jon has requested an
approximate head count beforehand if possible, so if you could respond to this
email or to Karr</FONT></SPAN><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>en Innis’s
call with confirmation of attendance, that would help.

<P dir=ltr><SPAN lang=en-us><FONT face=Calibri>I’ll then convey our estimated
number to Washington Platform prior to the meeting. </FONT></SPAN></P>
